WHO ARE WE?
We are a group of 6 motivated girls who want to shape the future by creating a completely new idea. We chose the fifth goal of the United Nations sustainable development goals: GENDER EQUALITY
In order to stimulate this goal, we made it ours. We came up with something entirely new that could work anywhere. We decided to launch a female mentorship program in a specific niche, which is our school, EDHEC. The purpose is that students will have a godmother/mentor, who will be a female alumni student, in order to gain more knowledge and insights of the real business world as a woman. This mentorship program will start in EDHEC, but we hope we will be able to expand it in the future.

President
Hello! My name is Izabella Sostak, I’m from Nice, France and I am the president of POWER. My main position in this project is leading, managing, and assisting the other members as well as developing, monitoring, and assessing our organization, its projects and most importantly its impact. These are skills that I developed while being the president of my team during the start-up project StanUp, as well as when I was head girl in my high school.

Hello ! My name is Sarena Kowal, I am from Ontario, Canada. I am so excited to be apart of Power in my role as treasurer. I am in charge of the financial aspects of our association such as managing the bank account and budget. I was raised by a single, hard-working mother, so growing up I gained a strong appreciation for women in the workforce. The qualities I observed from my mother are exactly those we are hoping to pass onto other young women through Power.
MARIE-LISE DE VUYST

Bonjour, Goeiedag, Guten Tag, Hello, I am Marie-Lise de Vuyst (18) based in Brussels (Belgium). As communication manager of POWER I love getting into contact with people and cultures. I am glad to present this awesome project that I am happy to share with my friends. I have always loved to get a strong message across in a creative way. This is why being the manager of our social media and website is an honour for me.
MALAK YASSEIN

My name is Malak Yassein, I’m 19 years old and I’m Egyptian, however I grew up in Saudi Arabia. My role in this project is to help find sponsorships to carry out our activities. I love communicating and interacting with different people , hence my interest in this role. Many experiences allowed me to develop my skills in that specific field, such as MUN , class representative for 3 years and I even took a part in the Student Concil where i had to represent all students from grade 6 to grade 12. Finally , i believe in our project, it’s success and I’m confident that it will help many women out and develop and bring out a new form of empowerment around the school.
ANGELINA HASS-RICHARTE
Event manager
Hi! I’m Angelina and I am the event manager at POWER. My role is to organize the main event of our project; the conference and meeting during which the Alumni Edhec women will meet their goddaughters.
I am in charge of getting in touch with the administration to manage the rooms and different infrastructures we will require for the meeting to take place, as well as preparing the goodies we will distribute and the organization overall. I love the creative aspect of this role and am glad I can contribute to putting this project on its feet.
EMA CORTEZ MIRANDA
Secretary
Hi ! I’m Ema Cortez Miranda and I’m from Portugal. I’m the secretary for Power : I take care of all the meeting minutes, contacts with any companies/people we choose to work with and preparing any documents that need to be sent.
I’ve been surrounded by hard-working women my entire life, coming from a family with three older sisters. The empowerment and support I get from them is exactly what we wish to pass on to all the women joining us at Power.
